Chiropractic Care Provided by Our Norristown Chiropractors
Whether you have recurring back pain, a slipped disc, or you’re experiencing regular migraines or headaches, our chiropractor may be able to help. These issues are often a result of misalignments in your back. Once the spine is realigned and remains in this position, your pain may lessen or stop completely. At Grisafi Chiropractic, serving Norristown, Collegeville, Blue Bell, Plymouth Meeting, and the surrounding Pennsylvania region, Dr. Benjamin Grisafi and Dr. Russ Montalbano work together to offer comprehensive chiropractic care to the community.
The first part of your exam is an assessment. First, our office will gather information about your medical history and symptoms. Either Dr. Benjamin Grisafi or Dr. Russ Montalbano will examine the area where you're experiencing pain and will further discuss your pain and other symptoms. The examination can help your chiropractor identify whether you have swelling and determine the exact location of the problem. You may need to undergo imaging so that our chiropractor can see inside your back. This can help identify certain issues that are contributing to your symptoms.
The Types of Chiropractic Care We Offer
One of the most common treatments we offer as part of our chiropractic care services is spinal alignment. Also known as a chiropractic adjustment, this treatment consists of one of our chiropractors asking you to lay down on a table on your stomach. Then, your chiropractor will manually move the vertebrae in your back, to ensure that the discs are properly aligned. Ultimately, this relieves pressure on your nerves and soft tissues while also promoting blood flow throughout the area. We use this chiropractic care technique to treat both chronic and acute issues, such as:
- Herniated discs
- Bulging discs
- Spinal stenosis
- Spinal spondylosis
- Disc degeneration
- Headaches or migraines
Another treatment we offer our patients is chiropractic exercises. We provide a customized exercise plan based on your condition and its severity. The exercises increase in difficulty based on how well you're healing. The exercises are not meant to cause pain, so we will only increase the difficulty at a rate that's comfortable for you. The exercises help stretch the muscles and other soft tissues to reduce your pain, swelling, and discomfort. These exercises also increase your range of motion. This is an effective treatment regimen for both injuries and chronic conditions.
Part of your treatment plan may also consist of lifestyle advice or massage therapy to further enhance your results and healing. These are also adjusted to meet your specific condition.
